Lights over Mt.Sinai
Lights over Mt. Sinai. 6"X4". B&W. Aquatint. zinc plate. M N/A.
The etching has the strange columns of pulsating green light - seen from Mt. Sinai while listening to Vivaldi's Four Seasons. The image is based on a travel diary sketch. It is unfortunate that no one had a SLR camera with a B option which allows you to keep the aperture open as long as you like to receive sufficient light to capture an image in the dark. This is back in 1985 in the pre-digital camera age. (An age when one also relied on Poste Restante for mail rather than e-mail).
